We enjoyed a "grown up" Halloween this year, or so at least I thought. We went to a party and had a blast with some friend. We played games, laughed (a lot) and ate loads of sweet treats! Here are a few pictures from the night. PS- sorry, it's been so long since my last post. Things are a little on the busy side here at the Langley household.

Will and I and our friend Michelle ran a 5K for a local humane society earlier this month. These pictures a were taken by Michelle's husband Chris, and are long over due! Sorry guys!

It's A Manly Bash!!

This year Will's birthday theme was "It's a Manly Bash." It included the new John Dillinger film, a Man Feast, a wall of men, man-charades, man-trivia and of course rock band!!

Best Birthday Ever!!

This year my birthday was in two parts...First, was my Office themed office party thrown by some kick butt ladies! Second, on my actual birthday Will gave me clues to several locations all over town all leading up to a surprise party back at my house!! It was so much fun and hands down the best birthday ever!!! My husband rocks!!!

A Celebration of Life...

A family gathered to celebrated the life of Ken Hightower... a dreamer, a father, a husband, and friend. He would have loved to have seen all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren together again reminiscing of the good times and lessons learned. He was a great man, and will truly be missed. Here are a few pictures from our trip to KY and a few I took to remind us of what a gift life really is.

Will and I got the honor and privileged to go to Brian Word's wedding last weekend in Winston-Salem N.C. It was a beautiful ceremony and so much fun to catching up with old friends. The weekend also served as a "mini anniversary celebration" for Will and I, as we celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary on May 13th. Here are some of the highlight from the trip.

5K!!

After 2 1/2 months of training I ran my first 5K here in Wake Forest. With the help of my biggest fan (Will) and my race partner (Matt) we finished the race in 40 minutes. I'm not going to lie it was hard work but most definitely worth it! Thanks for all the encouragement as there are hopefully a lot more races in my future!!

We enjoyed the best snow fall Wake Forest has seen in several years!!! Unfortunately, both Will and I had to work; so no snow day for us... :o(

Christmas with the Langley's

Will and I spent Christmas with the Langley's in Louisiana.We got to spend time with (almost) all the ones we love. It was a lot of fun relaxing spending time with friends and family. We had a lot of laughs and we're sad to leave. Here are a few photo's from our trip!

This year Will and I hosted our first Thanksgiving. The Hightower family came for food, fun, and of course Rock Band 2!! We had so much fun showing them all Wake Forest had to offer. It was a lot of fun and we were sad to see them go. Here are a few pictures from their stay.

Meghan's Baby Shower 10/25

I got the pleasure of throwing my two best friends a baby shower for their soon-to-be first born, Owen. It was a quick weekend trip to Indiana (most of which we spent in the car) but it was a fantastic time that I will cherish forever.

Will & Cutter's Birthday Weekend!

Friday we celebrated Will's birthday at home relaxing with friends and family. Enjoying some lasagna and Rockband until about 1 am! Saturday (Will's actual birthday) we went to see 'The Dark Knight' (which was awesome) and then got some BBQ and relaxed at home. Sunday was Cutter's birthday and to celebrate we got him a nice big chewy bone! Overall, it was a great birthday weekend! Here are some of the pictures...enjoy!

On June 20th I celebrated my 25th birthday! I was surprised with lots of love and gifts from friends and family. Will and I along with some great friends (Jenny & Daniel) went to the Cheesecake Factory and then to a movie (Get Smart). It was an all around great night!!

Anniversary Weekend!!

This year was my year to plan our anniversary! So, Saturday Will and I went to Adventure Landing and played loads of sweet arcade games. I even got to show Will my skills in the batting cages (he's not too bad either!!). Later that night I took him to a drive in movie where we got to see a double feature!! Indiana Jones and Iron Man (both great)!! It was a fantastic anniversary...good luck trying to top this next year!!!

Jenn's Tooth Extravaganza!

This week I had my long anticipated oral surgery! I had two teeth removed and a bridge put in place. Here are the before and after pictures from the whole thing...

It took 45 minutes for that one stinking tooth to come out!

Jenn loves to take pictures of my "accomplishments". Here I am holding up one of my papers. Funny, it doesn't look like much despite the hours that went into creating it. In case anyone out there is interested, I am loving seminary and learning more than I ever thought I could in just a few short months. Thanks for all the prayers and support. Hopefully I'll be holding up another piece of paper showing that I completed my M.Div. in just 3 or 4 (!) short years. ~ Will

Will and I took advantage of our day off and visited downtown Raleigh. We went the capital building (seen here) as well as the Natural Science and History Museum. After a wonderful afternoon we went to see Horton Hears a Who (hysterical!). Needless to say it was the greatest weekend since we moved to North Carolina!

This year the Easter bunny brought us a Honey Baked Ham (which fed us for a week)! We enjoyed the Easter musical at Open Door Bible Church and spent time outside with the neighbors enjoying the beautiful spring weather!
